Internet Bridal Showers
Saturday November 1, 2003
Do you have close friends and family that live far away, or are too elderly to travel easily? Why not have an e-shower? This new service allows brides to have their shower with anyone who has an internet connection and a webcam.
eShowers.com bridges the distance between Moms/Brides-to-be and their family and friends enabling face-to-face celebrations from anywhere in the world.
eShowers.com, the sole provider of virtual Baby and Bridal showers, launched today. eShowers employs conferencing technology to bridge the distance between Moms/Brides-to-be and their family and friends, enabling face-to-face celebrations from anywhere in the world.
Khrys Vaughn, eShowers founder, states, "Today's lifestyle is a hectic one and military families are no longer the only ones on the move. People relocate due to necessity or job changes, family members are spread throughout the country, and there are some as a result of 9-11 that still do not like to travel. For an expectant mom or soon-to-be bride, distance can make the difference between having a shower and not celebrating at all. Few employers will give you the day off to attend a friend’s shower out of state, and if you're new to an area, who would you know to invite?"
eShowers solves this problem. All that is needed is a computer with Internet access and a webcam to make your eShower a reality. Friends and family can come together at the scheduled time to wish the guest of honor well, catch up on old times, exchange pictures, and more. eShowers can also be used ‘in reverse’ to link distant attendees with a shower being held at a physical location. One hour of face-to-face communications for ten guests is only $79.95. Each guest of honor receives a complimentary gift from eShowers and is entered into a monthly drawing for either baby’s first $100 savings bond or $100 gift for the new couple to use any way they choose.
As an additional convenience, eShowers has partnered with WeddingChannel.com to offer shower attendees the ability to buy a gift when they RSVP to the event. WeddingChannel.com's famous registry search has over 1.4 million wedding registries from 20 of the top retailers so gift buyers are certain to buy something the bride needs. "WeddingChannel.com partnered with us early on to offer shower guests 'one stop shopping' solution. It's a terrific service for our shower attendees and we are delighted with the relationship." Vaughn comments. Baby gift registries are also available and include BabyStyle and Babies R’ Us.
But eShowers doesn’t stop there. Video On Demand is available for those wishing to stream their showers, weddings, or christenings, and videographers can place samples of their work online for viewing by potential clients. Midwife, Wedding Consultant, and Videographer directories are also available, and special webcasts are planned for 2004.
"eShowers is truly unique. Technology has changed the way we live, the way we work, and now the way we celebrate. We value each of our customers and consider it an honor to celebrate with them." eShowers donates a portion of all proceeds to charity.

I love the eShowers.com and I’m trying to plan one for my soon to be daughter-in-law. Where is the great website? eShowers.com doesn’t exist?
