Relax in front of the Boob Tube

Thursday February 5, 2004
Ever since Luke and Laura's wedding on General Hospital, networks have used weddings to bring in great ratings. This February Sweeps is no exception. Here's a wrap up of the weddings you'll see during the next two weeks.

Tonight on ABC's hit show Extreme Makeover, a couple will meet at the altar not knowing what the other looks like anymore! Their extreme makeovers included seven plastic surgeries for each of them, from facelifts to tummy tucks, and other procedures like porcelain veneers. Along with all this free plastic surgery, they're also getting a "dream wedding" at Disney World.

Live! with Regis and Kelly is wrapping up their "Wedding Week"; tomorrow morning a soldier and his fiancee will have the wedding of their dreams on the ABC show. Thursday on NBC, Friends has a "super-sized milestone episode" at 8 pm, when Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) marries Mike (Paul Rudd). Friday on NBC on Ed, title-character Ed (Tom Cavanaugh) marries Carol (Julie Bowen) in what's probably the final episode. Next week, Reality TV sinks even further when Fox presents The Littlest Groom, Monday, Feb 16 and 23. Average-height women will compete against little women for the affections of a 4' 5" bachelor. Needless to say, advocacy groups are objecting to the show, but Fox is committed to airing it.
