Timing the events

Wednesday April 14, 2004
Guests are curious people. They want to know what they'll be doing and for how long. A gracious idea is to include a timing of the big day events either on your webpage, in the printed program, or as one bride I saw did it, made a cute illustration on the cover of her invitation with the various component. Now, when I say timing, I don't just mean a schedule of the major events such as afternoon outing, time of the ceremony, and time of the reception. If you include things like what time the cocktail hour starts, the dinner hour, the dancing, and the big sendoff, they'll have a clearer idea of what they'll be doing and for how long to book the babysitter. Put a little sparkle into it by making it into a poem, adding illustrations, or making each event sound irresistable.
