Vegetarian Weddings
Wednesday July 14, 2004
As a vegetarian, I find wedding food to be particularly uninspiring. While others are dining on hearty dishes with savory sauces, I've often been served a dish of plain steamed vegetables with an occasional heap of plain pasta on the side. So you can rest assured that I make a special point of mentioning the vegetarians to any bride I work with. If you're a vegetarian, you might consider an entirely vegetarian wedding. About.com's guide to vegetarian cuisine, Tiffany Refior, has a special feature about weddings for vegetarians, including menu planning, meeting with caterers, and whether or not to have a meat dish for those picky carnivores! Even if you're not vegetarian, check out the menu ideas for an interesting vegetarian option you might serve.
