Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston - Hollywood's Golden Couple is No More
Monday January 10, 2005
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had a dream wedding, reportedly costing over $1 million, including a 13 minute fireworks display, a 40-member gospel choir to sing before the ceremony, and her gorgeous Lawrence Steele halter gown and Manolo Blahnik shoes. (Of course, Brad Pitt didn't look so bad himself, in a custom Hedi Slimane tuxedo.)
But none of it was enough. The golden couple has separated and, while, according to a statement, they "happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another," the marriage that such a lavish wedding promised did not come to be. It sends an important message home. No matter how much fun planning a wedding can be, no matter how beautiful your ceremony is, you still have to do your homework. The rumors say that Brad really wanted kids, while Jennifer wanted to continue with her career. Good pre-wedding counseling, or even a weekend course such as an engaged encounter weekend can help you solidify why you are getting married, and help you make sure that your views on children, finances, and your future are the same.
