Love Letters
Wednesday February 2, 2005
Thinking about writing a love letter for your sweetheart this Valentine's Day? Or, perhaps you want to write one for your fiance to open the night before your wedding. Whatever your reason, a love letter can be a simple thing to write or a hugely daunting task. To get inspired, I enjoy reading classic love letters from such famous authors and celebrities as Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Lord Churchill. While many of these are in antiquated language, the sense of loving abandon they display is so romantic. Another good resource is Susan Breslow Sardone's (About.com's own guide to Honeymoons) advice on writing a love letter.
