Wednesday May 25, 2005
Rob and Amber seem to be everywhere. First they were big winners on Survivor: All Stars when she won $1 million, and he won her heart. Then, they got to travel all over the world with . And last night, viewers got to witness what is probably the end of their TV journey on Rob and Amber Get Married.
Rob and Amber had a lavish wedding, paid for by CBS, including world-renowed celebrity wedding planner Colin Cowie. However, even with all the resources of CBS at her disposal, Amber chose a long-time friend to design her wedding dress.
Arlette Kronk designed Amber's wedding dress, a long white v-neck dress with flowing ruffle details and a long veil. Rob wore a white linen jacket and a casual white shirt. Both the bride and groom were barefoot on the Bahamian beach as they said their vows.
The couple wrote their own vows, although they were extremely stressed out about doing so. First Rob said, "Amber, I've never met anyone who has made me feel so special," to which Amber replied, "I am yours. My heart is filled with love for you and our future together. Thank you for making my fairy tale wedding come true." The couple also performed a hand-washing ceremony, and walked in under well-wishes from their family and friends written on ribbons.
