Avril Lavigne engaged to marry Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley

Avril Lavigne's spokeswoman confirmed that the singer is set to become another young celebrity bride - Lavigne, 20, got engaged to fellow musician Deryck Whibley, 25, over the weekend. The couple, who have been dating for over a year, have been friends for a long time. They bought a house together last year, but their careers put both of them on the road for long stretches. No wedding date or other wedding details have been announced yet.
