Two Scots almost beat the record for oldest couple to marry when they got hitched on Saturday. Raymond Robson, 96 and Faye Webber, 90, first met last summer at The Grange, a residential home similar to a retirement home. A few months later, Raymond popped the question, and the pair were then married at The Grange with their 6 sons and daughters and 16 grandchildren and great-grandchildren there to witness it.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the oldest couple ever to wed were Francois Frenandez and Madeleine Francineau who got married in France at the ages of 96 and 94 – for a total of 190 years. To read more about this story, click here.
