At their wedding receptions, many couples on a budget use groupings of inexpensive pillar candles as a pretty and cost-effective alternative to floral centerpieces. So this morning, I was so pleased to watch the Carol Duvall Show, where they demonstrated how to make elegant and easy candle wraps using a photograph. I am imagining that one or two decorated candles with pictures of the couple, along with a few plain pillar candles would make an elegant centerpiece that your guests will love. The instructions for this craft are here. All you need are candles, a few straight pins, a heat gun (which you can get from your craft store), xerox copies of the photographs, and then any ribbons or decorations you want to use to tie in your wedding colors. Like all the best wedding crafts, it's easy AND inexpensive.
