Wedding Shoes for the Hard to Fit Foot

Monday September 12, 2005
If you're like me and were blessed with large feet, then you'll know that shopping for shoes is rarely a pleasure. When I need a specific shoe to go with a specific outfit, it gets even worse. So shopping for a pair of wedding shoes to match your gown, be the right height and be comfortable might just be the hardest challenge of all for a woman with big feet. There are some solutions out there, however. Designershoes.com carries from size 9AAAA to size 14WW, and has many pretty shoes. Zappos.com has a great selection, and allows you to search by style, heel height, size, color, and price. Big and Beautiful Shoes carries from size 4 to 15 in an array of widths. And for you fashionistas, did know that Manolo Blahniks come up to European size 42 (almost U.S. size 12) and that you can special order size 42.5; or, if Carrie Bradshaw is not your thing, Stuart Weitzman shoes come up to a size 12AAAA or 12B. My large-footed Cinderellas, I hope you'll find the perfect shoe to wear when you meet your prince.
