Orchard Corset Center

Tuesday November 1, 2005
A lot of guides about shopping for your wedding dress will tell you to bring along "a good bra" but few of them will tell you to go get fitted for a new one. I'm here to tell you that you should. Did you know that most women wear too small a cup size and too large a band size? The difference can mean the world in terms of your figure and how your clothes - and thus your wedding dress - will fit. There are people who specialize in bra fitting, and they are usually to be found at smaller, independent lingerie stores, such as the Orchard Corset Center.

A recent visit was straight out of the wand shop in Harry Potter. Boxes and boxes of bras lined all of the walls in an overwhelming fashion. Yet when the owner of the store assessed the customer by turning her around (no measuring tapes here!), she was able to pull out exactly the right bra in the right size. They offer a wide range of long-line bras and corsets for brides, and best of all, they are a discount shop! If you don't have an Orchard Corset or similar old-fashioned shop in your town, you can visit them online at Orchardcorset.com.
