There nothing worse than a cake that doesn’t taste good. Before you commit to buying a wedding cake from a bakery make sure the bakery lets you taste samples of the cake. Make sure that they use good flavorings (vanilla,lemon extract, etc.)

For those of you who are brave enough to want to make your own wedding cake please see the Wilton website at http://www.wilton.com/ for ideas. You can also take cake decorating classes. They offer them at Michael’s and JoAnns craft stores.
