Wedding Blogs

Tuesday May 16, 2006
People in the blogosphere sometimes ask me for my favorite wedding blogs, and the truth is, there aren't many. Some people, like Doug Gordon, write terrific blogs, but then they get married and change topics, or simply stop blogging.

So I was very pleased to find Manolo for the Brides. Some of you may know Manolo's popular shoe blog, or his funny recaps of the Bravo TV show Project Runway. This wedding blog seems to be written by a different person, and doesn't have as much of the humor. However, it is written with a strong, clear voice, and has interesting links to fashionable things.

Another blog I read is Here Comes the Blog. This relatively new site has a personable, chatty tone and interesting thoughts on wedding planning.

Do you have a favorite wedding blog? Share it in the comments!

Hi Nina!

You’re right – there aren’t that many wedding blogs, but I have come across some that I like including Doug’s, Manolo’s, and Here Comes the Blog. These are a couple more good ones:

http://thebridalblog.observer.com/
http://www.bridalwave.tv/
http://www.wedaholic.com/
http://www.youmaynowkisstheblog.com/index.html

I also run a New York based group wedding blog at http://www.weddingbee.com myself. =)

Hope you find these useful!

Hi Nina,

I swear I didn’t see your blog the day before I wrote mine! It must be great minds think alike!

I just thought I should branch out and see what other wedding blogs were out there.

Abigail – I love the name “Bridalicious” , will certianly have to add http://bridalicious.blogspot.com/ to my bloglines account. Revieing other blogs is fun and something I will have to do again.

Best

I just run into this website http://www.wholeblossoms.com where I got my wedding flowers customized. They have a Wedding in a Box section in which they customized my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and centerpieces. I went to several wholesale flower sites where they have wedding in a Box packages with regular bulk flowers but the Wedding in a Box section of Whole Blossoms offers the possibility of having your flowers customized just the way you want them. I not only got the best prices among all the wholesale flower sites I visited but also I got one of Whole Blossoms florist to design my flowers and ship them to me at an amazing price. They import every flower you can imagine from flower growers and they’re able to pass on savings to brides. I ended up getting a great deal! They sell mainly large sized orders which is fine since I needed a lot for my wedding.
