Honoring the Earth with a Natural, Organic Wedding
Thursday July 27, 2006
If you're someone who loves the outdoors, perhaps you'll want to celebrate that with a natural wedding or an organic wedding. I've put together some tips for you at The Natural Wedding: How to Have an Eco-Friendly Wedding Day. You may also want to check out Organic Weddings. They're a relatively new site and so the content is a little bit thin, but they do have some interesting ideas for environmentally responsible wedding favors, music, and food.
If you've got a hot tip for an organic wedding favor or other ecofriendly wedding idea, be sure to let us know in the comments, or send me an email at weddings.guide@about.com.

Yes! There is a wonderful small wedding venue that I recently visited in Washington State. See www.treehousepoint.org. They provide a gorgeous eco-friendly setting along a salmon-safe stream in the woods. It is casual-elegance at it’s best and they provide organic meals, organic flowers from nearby organic farms, and you can stay in their bed & breakfast rooms, well-appointed wall tents and tree houses! Beautiful & fun!
Woops! I mis-typed the website for the Treehouse location: it is www.treehousepoint.com
Healthgifts.com offers themed gift baskets containing the highest quality, earth- friendly ingredients available. The company, founded by nutritionist and life coach guru Randi Luckman also offers organic wedding planning which will cover all aspects of your wedding!
