Dreaming About Your Honeymoon
Thursday August 3, 2006
Since wedding planning right now is mostly calling caterers, trying to find one who will do what we want for a reasonable price, I've been indulging in the fun of dreaming about my honeymoon. It started with the latest issue of Modern Bride magazine (August 2006), which has a fantastic guide to honeymoons at the back. The best feature is a group of top 10's where their favorite honeymoon places are organized by such topics as affordability, seclusion, beaches, nightlife and more. So, I was able to crossreference three categories that were most important to me and discover a honeymoon destination I hadn't even considered before!
Next, I headed over to the About.com Honeymoons and Romantic Getaways site, where I found out more about the destinations I'm considering. Since I'm worried about how I'm going to pay for this and still have my dream wedding dress, I checked out her list of inexpensive trips to see where else might be worth considering. I also looked at one of my favorite magazines Budget Travel. This is the best kind of dreaming, lush descriptions coupled with ways to make it happen financially.
And then I sent everything I had found, along with a Basic Guide to Planning Your Honeymoon and a Honeymoon Timeline to my fiance. He wanted to plan the honeymoon, but I didn't do that much. I just dreamed a little.
