Holidays and the Bride

Thursday November 30, 2006
It's happened again. Here we are, not even technically December yet, and every weekend and many weeknights from now until 2007 are full. Between work, friends, and the benefits of organizations I support, I've committed to too many parties, meetings. events, and cookie baking. And since my family and I celebrate Christmas, there's all those presents to buy and Christmas Cards to send as well! So, how does the busy bride find time to make progress on wedding planning in spite of the December crazies? My list of holiday hints for the bride might help alleviate some of that stress. Here's another quick hint. After that post-work cocktail party, don't go straight home. Stop at a nearby cafe for a quick wedding planning meeting. Take a notebook, along with a wedding checklist, your budget, and the phone numbers of any caterers, photographers, or other wedding vendors you've been meaning to call but haven't found the time. By getting out of the house, you'll get a bunch done before you get caught up in laundry, dinner, or TV.
