New Years Wedding Resolutions

Sunday December 31, 2006
Have you made your New Years Resolutions yet? I think the best resolutions (and the easiest ones to keep) are the ones that emphasize your best self. Rather than saying what you won't do, or what you'll give up, celebrate yourself! For example, a "best self" resolution might be "I love my energy and enthusiasm. I'm going to celebrate that in 2007 by doing more volunteer work in my community."

If you're wondering how this applies to weddings, consider a resolution like this: "I love how creative I am. I'm going to do a wedding-related creative project this weekend, like making unique favors or designing our programs."

Or, you might say "I love myself when I am organized and on top of things. I'm going to get more organized about the wedding, using my wedding checklist and other wedding planning tools."

A few more ideas: "I am happier when I take the time to take care of myself. I'm going to start thinking about how I can be the most beautiful and relaxed I can be on my wedding day." (Look at Bridal Beauty Countdown

"I am my best self when I am with my fiance. I want to make my wedding ceremony as romantic and special as possible."

"I love my adventurous self. I'm going to go today (not tomorrow or the day after) to find travel books and advice on possible honeymoon destinations.
