Top 10 Tips for an Outdoor Wedding

Thursday April 19, 2007
Recently a reader wrote to me asking about making sure her guests were comfortable at her outdoor September wedding in Atlanta, Georgia. I suggested she include a line in her invitations saying "Please feel free to dress comfortably for the outdoor ceremony," or have an insert stating "Our ceremony will be outdoors so please leave your formal attire at home! Shirt and tie for gentlemen, and sundresses for the ladies will be perfectly appropriate." I also suggested that she provide cold drinks and fans, in case it is an especially hot day.

If you're having an outdoor wedding and want to make sure your guests are comfortable, check out my Top 10 Tips for an Outdoor Wedding.
