Love in the White House

Thursday November 6, 2008
Don't worry, this isn't a blog about politics. It's a blog about love. Because whether you were elated or disappointed in the US Presidential election results, I hope you can agree that the love that Michelle and Barack Obama share for each other is really inspiring. They look at each other like it is still their wedding day, and they seem to truly treat each other with respect and admiration. And so, whatever political policy changes happen in the next four years, I am truly hopeful that love will flourish under this administration. I hope that others will be as inspired to fall in love, get married, and then live up to the ideals of their wedding vows. What do you all think? Are you excited to see love in the White House?

So true. I noticed that in alot of pictures of them. They look at each other like there’s no one else in the room.

You are so right! Everytime you see them, they look like newlyweds. I think it shows that they aren’t afraid to let the world know that it’s O.K. to be affectionate in public, especially in politics! That was a great observation.

You are so right. Even with thousands of people cheering, they seem to have an intimate connection, an intimate moment. It is lovely to watch them together and also with their girls.
