Which Celebrity Bride Had the Best Wedding Dress of All Time?

Tuesday July 7, 2009
Of all the celebrity wedding pictures you've ever seen, whose wedding dress would you pick as the "Perfect Wedidng Dress of All Time?" A recent survey, which asked 4000 people for their 21st century opinions on weddings, asked exactly that question- and the most common answer may surprise you. Over 42% chose Princess Diana's wedding dress from her Royal marriage to Prince Charles as their "Perfect Wedding Dress." The answer most certainly surprised me, as all that fabric would swallow women without Princess Diana's 5'10" height. And the huge puffy shoulders are straight out of 1981, and look very dated today. That being said, it's certainly a dress fit for a princess.

Here's the rest of the list, which shows me that women still want to look like princesses on their wedding days, so perhaps Princess Di shouldn't be so surprising:

1. Diana, Princess of Wales (42%)
2. Grace Kelly (13.68%)
3. Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City (11.53%)
4. Katie Price (8%)
5. Jennifer Aniston (4.8%)
6. Pamela Anderson’s white bikini (4.5%)
7. Victoria Beckham (4.4%)
8. Cheryl Cole (3.8%)
9. Madonna in Like a Virgin (3.25%)
10. Bianca Jagger’s white tuxedo (2.8%)

The report into modern attitudes on marriage was commissioned exclusively by UK magazine LIVING to coincide with their new wedding series Four Weddings.
