Plus-size brides all seem to dread going wedding dress shopping. Tales of being wedged into tiny samples, being told to lose weight, and even being disallowed from trying on gowns at all are enough to send any woman running in fear. But a new bridal salon in Phoenix called Strut hopes to help fuller-figured women do just that: strut their stuff in a large selection of gowns and a full line of accessories.
Unlike the typical shop's size 8 sample, Strut carries samples in sizes 16 to 32 so you can really try things on. And since the shop's owners have experience with being plus-sized brides themselves, they know the importance of a well-placed dart, finding the right dress for your curves, and which gowns work best with an arm-covering bolero jacket.
Sadly, Strut doesn't yet offer online shopping, but those in the Phoenix area should call to make an appointment or check out their website.

I visited Strut Bridal two days ago looking for my wedding gown for my wedding in April. The owner Ann was AMAZING!! She gave me her undivided attention and truly cared about what I was looking for. I spent two hours at her salon and found 3 AMAZING dresses. Her prices are VERY affordable, she is super reasonable and her prices beat the competition. I just absolutely loved this place. I wish there was a way I could scream accross the city that she was here….If you are a bride looking for a gown you have to go visit her, After visiting Davids Bridal and other Bridal salons, I could cry, Ann made me feel so beautiful and I finally felt like a Bride!
