Your bridesmaids are your best friends and family, the people who know you the best, and the people who would do anything for you. And for the last few months they especially have - they've been friendly listeners, shoulders to cry on, cheerleaders, and troopers. They've thrown you bridal showers, given you gifts, and bought their matching dresses. Many brides say thanks by giving a special "Thank you gift" to their bridesmaids. But if your ladies have gone above and beyond for you, return the favor by throwing them a bridesmaids tea.
A bridesmaids tea can be as simple as casual drinks and snacks before you get ready on the wedding day, or an all-out catering extravaganza. I've even heard of brides bringing in spa aestheticians for a day of pampering. It can be limited to just the members of your wedding party, or include all the female guests invited to a wedding. The ones I've been invited to have been elegant lunches where the bride gives a special toast to her bridal party and gives them gifts. Best of all, they were an opportunity to get to know some of the other guests before the big day.
Will you throw a bridesmaids tea? Why or why not?
