Natalie Imbruglia Wedding to Daniel Johns

Kylie Minogue caught the bridal bouquet at pop-star Natalie Imbruglia's wedding to rocker Daniel Johns in tropical North Queensland, Australia on New Year's Eve 2003. The couple managed to keep the location a secret, even to guests, who were led along the sand to a secluded beachside spot at the posh Thala Beach Lodge, Port Douglas, Australia. Since they were able to avoid the paparazzi, Johns and Imbruglia's wedding photograph will be sold by the couple with proceeds going towards charity. The wedding was very small and personal, and didn't include many celebrity guests other than Minogue.

Natalie Imbruglia, who starred in Neighbours with Minogue before they both enjoyed singing careers, wore a v-necked silk chiffon wedding dress with a handkerchief hem by designer Monique Lhuillie, along with a Kaviar and Kind necklace and trendy Jimmy Choo high-heels (even in the sand!). David Johns, rocker frontman for Silverchair, wore a vintage pale-blue suit, rather than designer garb.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a breakfast banquet and live orchestral music composed especially for the event. Ubiquitous DJ Paul Mac also performed. It was at this reception that Kylie Minogue caught the bouquet. According to onlookers quoted by The London Sun, she didn't rush to grab it, " they landed right in her grasp. She was flushed and giggling afterwards." Fans have been speculating about the prospects of Minogue marrying her boyfriend, French actor Oliver Martinez, whom she accompanied on a ten-day trip around Australia.

Natalie Imbruglia and David Johns, 24 first met at the 1999 ARIA awards, but had a rocky relationship before finally getting engaged in early 2003. He gave her a platinum and diamond engagement ring from jeweler Craig Leonard, and proposed surrounded by 300 pink and yellow roses.
