Answer: I recommend that you check on your registry frequently, especially after each pre-wedding event, to make sure that stores have recorded all gifts and to see if you might need to add or remove items. If you’re worried about not getting all of your basic tableware, remove a few of the other more expensive items. Also, if completing your sets is important to you, consider returning some of the non-essential gifts you’ve gotten and using the store credit to complete your sets yourself. Make sure you’ve read the fine print to know how long you have to return or exchange. These days, many stores will give you a discount on any unbought items after the wedding.
