Funny Response Card Wordings

Make Your Guests Laugh When they RSVP

By

Response cards can be formal and traditional, but they certainly don't have to be. If you're having a casual and fun ceremony, why not also have casual and fun RSVPs?

Start with the basics – your guests' names and number in their party – then you can inject some humor with funny reply options:

Instead of just saying "accepts with pleasure/declines with regrets", instead consider

__Gladly Accepts
__Regretfully Declines
__Gladly Declines
__Regretfully Accepts

__Will be there with bells on!
__Will be there, but I don't do bells
__Will be there, still undecided about bells
__Won't be there, heard about the bells
__Won't be there, with or without bells

__Can't Wait
__Can't Come

Be there or be square!
__Hooray, I'm there!
__Sadly, I'm square.

You can also ask your guests to answer a questionnaire. Start off your response card with the basic questions, then add some fun ones:
M______________________________
__ will attend
__ regretfully decline
At your wedding, I/we plan to:
__eat a lot of cake
__dance my feet off
__smile endlessly
__all of the above
The happy couple's best qualities include:
__good looks
__stunning intelligence
__witty sense of humor
__excellent taste in friends

Making your entire response card into a Mad Libs game is fun for your guests, and it will be funny for you when you receive their replys:
____________!
(Exclamation)

_____________ is/are ____________ to attend
(Your name{s}) (able/unable)

There are
___________ people in our posse.
(total number)

Kindly mail by June 16, 2006

You can also have fun with your meal choice. If you're offering guests more than one option for dinner, don't feel you have to stick to the literal words of steak, fish, chicken, and vegetables.
Instead, you could say,
Entrée Choice:
__Moo!
__Cluck!
__*The silence of vegetables growing*
Or
We prefer to dine on a beast
__Of the land
__Of the sea
__Of feathers
__Of soy
