Crane Creates Exclusive Wedding Invitation Sets for Papyrus

Following Trends, the Stationery Line Releases More Colorful Wedding Invitations

By , About.com Guide

Crane & Co. has long been the makers of classic wedding invitations using heavy cotton papers and engraved inks. Now they're issuing a new more colorful line of wedding invitation sets available exclusively through Papyrus stores.

Designed for the contemporary bride, the new Papyrus line combines colorful papers and inks, fashion-forward design and innovative use of type to offer brides a multitude of options with which to create engagement announcements, save-the-dates, wedding invitations, and response sets.

The new designs will be displayed within Crane’s New Traditions Wedding albums at Papyrus’ 140 retail locations across the country.

Each set is designed to reflect emerging trends in contemporary wedding papers.

A suite of square ecru cards displays an engagement announcement, save-the-date, wedding invitation and response set. Kona brown ink is complemented by progressive motifs in Persian green: an engagement ring, two hearts, champagne flutes and a wedding cake. A Persian ribbon and tissue envelope lining soften the invitation.

Pearlized borders, applied by hand, accent a set of cards printed in bisque and French blue inks. A stylish icon with the wedding date adorns the save-the-date and wedding invitation. The couple’s initials replace the date on the wedding invitation envelope.

A romantic mood is offered in a wedding set featuring a soft pink floral design printed on a white card. This is layered with a base pink card, adding substance as well as an edge of pink. A matching pink envelope and floral liner complete the presentation.

“To have and to hold from this day forward” engraved in white is the backdrop for stunning metallic copper type on an engraved celadon green card. This set displays a matching response card and folded thank you note with the couple’s intertwined initials engraved in copper.

Vivid green ink is used as the tie that binds a distinctive wedding set with an aqua save-the-date card, light pink response card with coral envelope, and a limon green wedding invitation. The set is contained within an aqua envelope.
