Today Throws a Destination Wedding Week 4

On the Today Show's annual series, Today Throws a Wedding, viewers get to help plan a dream celebration by voting on every aspect of the event – from which lucky couple will win to how the bride will wear her hair. This year, viewers get to help plan a destination wedding. And this week, viewers will learn which diamond wedding rings they chose for Buddy and Nikki to wear, as well as seeing the choices for next weeks voting, the wedding dresses! This is always my favorite week on the Today Show's wedding series, as who can beat looking at gorgeous wedding dresses and a diamond ring?

Before we learn about the wedding dresses, let's see which wedding ring they will wear

On the confession cam, Buddy and Nikki revealed that the best ring for her is wedding ring #3, a Neal Lane pave diamond ring, but his favorite was part of wedding ring set #1, a Penny Preville white gold band with a filigree design on the side.

Well, Nikki got her wish! She will be wearing the pave diamonds set in platinum, while Buddy's is a simple platinum band with a mill-grained edge. These are a beautiful choice, and will let Nikki wear her engagement ring on the same finger, something that had been important to both of them.

Next up, what wedding gown will Nikki wear?

Nikki said that she's a little bit nervous about this, because it's such a personal decision. She'd always envisioned a very simple and elegant gown. Luckily, because it's going to be a beach wedding, the choices are necessarily light, airy and casually elegant. It will also need to be packable, since it's a destination wedding!

The first dress is a halter-style design from Lazaro in a silk chiffon ivory with a slit down the front and a key-hole cut out. It has subtle beading all over, but is still suitable for a beach environment. It is paired with little jeweled wedge sandles.

The next dress, by Monique Lhuillier, is a v-neck silk chiffon draped gown with a handkerchief hem. With a ruched waist, it has a goddess-like feeling from this very-hot designer to the stars. No shoes are necessary with this gown, giving the bride a perfect relaxed beachy look.

The third choice is from award-winning bridal designer Amy Michelson. This strapless gown features a sweatheart neckline and an a-line skirt. The back has covered buttons and the added detail of two long chiffon ties which will flutter in the wind for dramatic photo opportunities.

The last choice is from Angel Sanchez following the current trend of feminine ruffles all the way down with a panel skirt. The bride would wear a long simple veil which would give her a truly bridal feel during the ceremony, but could be removed for dancing.
