One of the nice things about a destination wedding is that with fewer guests, you can splurge on details like invitations, favors, and place settings. The invitations that viewers had to choose from were all designed for Nikki and Buddy especially, and are unique and creative. Over 180,000 viewers voted on these four choices:
- Love Luck and Angels's wedding invitation with three bright red flowers, mounted on a sushi mat
- A wedding invitation that looks like an airplane ticket in an envelope printed with a custom designed map from Schwamy
- A preppy wedding invitation with an old-fashioned feel from Stacey Claire Boyd
- Creative Intelligence's passport-themed wedding invitation
On the confession cam, Nikki said that there was no bad choice between these invites, although she seemed to lean toward choice #4, the old-world passport. Buddy preferred the striped portfolio, as "there was so much to look at there, it seems like it would be fun to get." He also noted that the custom-designed map of choice #2 only had Nikki's hometown on it, not his. It made him feel a little left behind. Brides – don't do this to your grooms!

And the winner is: Choice #4 – the passport-themed wedding invitation.On to the groom and groomsmen and what they'll wear. Hint, they won't be wearing tuxedos!
Buddy said that he's not a real "fashion guy" and he'd rather wear something casual on the beach. One of his groomsmen added "anything but Speedos." I don't think they'll have to worry about that as the Today show is going to give Buddy his wish, with four beachy looks.- Choice #1 is a head-to-toe white look, with a shirt inspired by a traditional Cuban guayabera shirt. The style is easy and breezy, and is known for its comfort and coolness. Personally, this is my least favorite of the looks. It just doesn't make sense; Buddy's not Cuban. The wedding won't even be held in Cuba. On the plus side though, the head-to-toe white will be a striking look next to Nikki's white dress with the gorgeous aquamarine ocean behind them. He'll also wear a flat-front linen pant, and a casual sandal.
- Look number 2 is my favorite. It's a great tan cotton suit from Kenneth Cole, with 2-buttons and has ease and movement. Buddy won't wear a tie, and his coral striped button-down shirt has a casual feel to it. The groomsmen would wear something similar, but perhaps with a different shirt. I love the look because it's not too formal for the beach, yet still says "I have something important to do today," similar to the relaxed elegance of Nikki's Monique Lhuillier gown. At the reception, Buddy can easily take off his coat and roll up his sleeves to have fun.
- Choice 3 is the Brooks Brothers look with a navy cotton flat-front pant, a sky-blue button down shirt, and a stripped ribbon belt. The pants are rolled up, and his feet will be bare. Bring on the pedicures.
- Choice 4 is from designer John Varvatos. It's a relaxed suit look with slim travel jacket with a slight casual wrinkle, an ivory pant and a tan-striped shirt. The idea is that while he's wearing a suit, he'll look like he just stepped off a private jet, rather than just leaving the office. It's a head-to-toe golden tan look, which will either help Buddy look sun-kissed (a la Jennifer Lopez's current style) or simply blend in with all that sand.
