Do you have a favorite moment in any wedding? For some, the best part of a wedding is seeing the bride in her wedding dress for the first time. For others, it's free drinks and a packed dance floor, or seeing the romantic first dance. What's your favorite moment? Share Favorite Moments

The recessional

I love watching the newly married couple walk down the aisle together. It's the other end of the processional - except they're so happy. Everyone is beaming and it's such a good moment - everyone gets to focus on what just happened and just how joyful it is.

The Moment He See's Her

When a groom sees his bride for the first time on their wedding day walking down the aisle, it's a priceless moment. Too many couples don't get this moment of a lifetime because of pre-ceremony photos or other reasons. They are truly missing out. This is the moment when the groom knows she is the one for him, forever! It gives me chills every time!

Honored Guest

The best part of the last wedding I did was when the bride reached the end of the aisle, stopped to give her grandma a flower from her bouquet, and then laid a flower at the picture of her late grandma. Then the groom took a flower from the bride and placed it at the picture of his mother to honor her -- she passed away 6 years ago. Not a dry eye, and no one knew the bride was going to do this!

Each wedding had a different favorite

When I think of my little brother's wedding, I remember (a) crying at the wedding march, and (b) that my two brothers got in an accident on the way to the church and I drove right past it without seeing them. (Well, that's not exactly a FAVORITE part...) My other brother was married twice. My favorite part of the first was when I said to my new step-nephew that he'd done a great job as ring-bearer, he said rather laconically, "I know." I said to my new sister-in-law, "He's a Leo, right?" Yep. He was. His second wedding - favorite part was when the very young ring-bearer tossed the pillow (and rings) in the aisle and went to look for his mother.

The Cake!

My favorite part of the wedding is definitely tasting the cake - and taking some home.

Seeing the bride

The best moment of any wedding has to be the moment you spot the bride for the first time. After that, it's the open bar, all the way, baby!

Friends and Family

The best part of a wedding is the gathering of friends and family. Rarely, will you ever get such a group together in one place to simply celebrate and have fun. I've been married less than three years, and guests who attended have since passed away or lost touch with us. At the very least, we will always have the memories, photos, and video of them from the big day. It's something I treasure.

The Wedding Cake

I love wedding cakes - the designs, the toppers from funny to beautiful, and of course, the tastes! I think couples these days are paying more attention to their cakes and I'm loving the results.

First Dance

I love the first dance at a wedding, watching the bride and groom focus only on each other and the guests focus only on the pair. It's usually a few beautiful minutes of pure love before the fun and festivities of the reception starts.

Let Me Count the Perks

Free booze, awkward wedding reception dynamics between in-laws, dancing to "Bite the Dust," it's hard to choose only one part.

The End

Weddings can be fun but lets face it they are also very stressful, so when it is all over there is a great feeling of relief.

Watching the Groom Watch His Bride

The bride is always gorgeous - it's her day. I love to see the look in the groom's eyes when he sees how beautiful she is... and he knows it's not just the best day of her life; it's the best day of his life too.

The "Reveal"

I rather like the Chicken Dance. Just kidding. The best part is when you see the bride for the first time -- the dress, the flowers, the whole deal. I know I should probably be more romantic, but the visuals are really what get me.

The Ceremony

For my wedding, even thought it was at the courthouse, the ceremony was my favorite part. We took a few family members with us and that made it special too. Looking into my husband's eyes and speaking the time-honored words and MEANING them was such an intense experience.

Throwing the Rice

It's silly, but I love throwing the rice or confetti or birdseed or whatever. Such a moment of triumphant joy! Plus, how often do you get to throw things at other people as an adult? But I do also love the toasts. I like to hear how other people view the happy couple, the little jokes, the stories about their romance. Pretty great.
