Floral Arrangements
- I see a trend in using seasonal and locally grown floral for 2010. Not only is it cost cutting, but it is considerably more sensitive to the environment.

PEACOCK FEATHER TREND -
- BEING A WEDDING DESIGNER I DID A PEACOCK FEATHER ACCENT WEDDING RECENTLY - IT RECIEVED RAVE REVIEWS AS I USED IT FROM THE ACCENTS IN THE CHURCH TO THE RECEPTION CENTERPIECES - COURSAGES AND BRIDAL PARTY FLOWERS - DON-T LET FEATHERS SCARE YOU - IT IS A NEW UNIQUE ACCENT FOR FLOWERS !! AND I PLAN TO USE IT AGAIN -- A FALL WEDDINGS WITH PHEASANT FEATHERS ACCENTS WOULD BE STUNNING!!

LOCAL Destination Weddings
- While the trend of "destination weddings" is still popular, I think many couples will opt to have their "destination" wedding "locally" in 2010, instead of flying to an exotic location. For example, in New Jersey, we have the beaches, the shoreline, the mountain resorts and many other places for a "weekend wedding" that offers everything a couple needs, at a cost they can afford, since they and guests won't have the added expense of traveling too far.

Gown Trends
- Even though ruffles are not new to bridal, they are making a big splash as embellishments on gowns. Also, I predict the high-low hemlines will become more and more popular in 2010.

Peacock Green and Feathers
- Well that title doesn't sound very appealing, but I've been tracking the trend of peacock green and peacock feathers in weddings. It's a beautifully rich wedding theme that is also very unique. Carrie Bradshaw's bird headpiece in her Sex and The City wedding shows an extreme of the feathers idea. But there are many understated ways to accomplish a boho-chic or royal-bold peacock wedding.

My opinion
- For starters I'd like to say something about the wedding location. It would be nice if you do it at your parents' house, where you had grown up and spent your childish years:) But it's nice as well to do it somewhere where you remember this amazing memory. As for the engagement i would prefer to wait a bit so i could plan, save my money and other things. For the veil i would prefer a little long i don't really like Drew Barrymore`s veil in the picture- though it's not ugly either. As for the wedding dress, I do like strapless dresses and obviously it would be the colour WHITE!

Trendy Gowns
- I feel wedding gowns with pick ups are starting to feel trendy and will quickly be out of style.

Reception Trends
- I'm having both a makeshift photobooth and a candy bar - I think these will be fun, but I do worry that they are too trendy. What do you think?
