Renee Zellweger's ex, Jack White, Marries in Surprise Ceremony

If you were surprised when Renee Zellweger married country singer Kenny Chesney last month, here's another shocker: her ex-boyfriend, musician Jack White, has seemingly one-uped the actress by marrying model Karen Elson in an Amazon rain-forest. Conducted by a Shaman priest, the ceremony took place Wednesday on a canoe, and was followed by a Catholic blessing at a cathedral in Brazil. Renee Zellweger and Jack White ended their two-year relationship in December 2004, and seemed at first to both be having trouble moving on. It seems as though White and Elson have only been dating since the beginning of May.

Along with the doubts that this wedding is only revenge, others have speculated that this is a publicity stunt to promote the White Stripes' (Jack White's band) new album "Get Behind Me Satan." Also curious is that the released statement says that this is a first marriage for both Elson and White, when it has been confirmed that White was formerly married to his bandmate, drummer Meg White. Incidentally, Meg White was maid of honor at Wednesday's ceremony.
