Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are Engaged!

Tom Cruise asked Katie Holmes to marry him at the top of the Eiffel Tower, he announced at a press conference today. The couple were in Paris to promote their movies, "War of the Worlds" and "Batman Begins." Cruise found it so romantic and wonderful, he couldn't help but propose. At the press conference, Holmes was sporting a massive diamond ring and blushing shyly. It's interesting, isn't it, that most celebrity couples are taking pains to keep their engagements private, even wearing engagement rings on their right hands, and staging surprise weddings, while Tom and Katie announce it at a press conference?
