Worried about paying for your honeymoon?

Friday September 16, 2005
After all the expense of an engagement ring, the dress, the cake, the food, the musicians etc. etc., there is still the honeymoon. But how to afford a trip of a lifetime on a shoestring budget? My favorite tip is to get a new credit card in both of your names and use it to pay for all of the wedding expenses. Make sure that it has an airline miles program or a cash back program. Pay the balance off at the end of each month, and use the statements to track your wedding expenses. At the end of the process you'll be able to take that honeymoon.

But what if you're already close to the wedding and you don't have any airline points accumulated? A friend of mine discovered Budget Travel magazine when trying to plan her second honeymoon (lucky girl!). She has found it incredibly useful in finding bargains and discovering places she hadn't even thought of visiting. You can check out their website at budgettravelonline.com. Happy Honeymooning!
