Engagement Parties and Invitations

I'm planning a little engagement party for my friends Marite and David. Nothing too fancy - just cocktails in my garden, a few hors d'oeuvres, and a champagne toast. I started looking for a chic invitation that would convey the mood, and discovered that there are more bad invitations out there than good ones! Cheesy or cutesy sayings, ugly designs, or just plain boring. Not to mention that many companies don't separate bridal shower invitations from engagement party invites, so I had to wade through a lot that just wasn't appropriate. Fortunately I did find some gems, and wanted to share them with you. Here are my picks for engagement party invitations, many of which are also great bridal shower invitations.
